My aim is to really understand our clients by building long-term professional relationships so that I can meet their individual and ever-changing needs. I achieve this by listening and by being receptive to their points of view and enjoy nothing better than the challenge of a problem to resolve.
Offering general practice accountancy to a cross-section of clients I specialise in the construction, property, and legal sectors and also head up the probate department as a qualified probate practitioner.
In my spare time, I volunteer my expertise as the Finance Director of both Cornwall Football Association and South Western Peninsular Football League along with Treasurer of Launceston Football Club Association. I also take a keen interest in how local businesses impact upon the town, having lived and worked in the area for 50 years.
I am here to support my clients, whatever the situation, to be someone they can rely on to understand the ups and downs of their business and help them to achieve their goals whilst delivering the best service. I work closely with my clients in areas such as inheritance tax advice, business planning and commercial advice, finding pro-active solutions to different scenarios.
I have a wealth of experience across many sectors however with a farming background and comprehensive knowledge of the sector, I am ideally placed to lead ATC Advisors Agricultural team and occasionally lend a helping hand at my family’s farm in North Devon.
Out of the office I love nothing more than walking my dog ‘Brandy’ on the beach, pottering in the garden and supporting my friends and family.
I love nothing better than fixing and finding solutions; making things happen and overcoming challenges; helping clients to achieve their business goals and colleagues to fulfil their potential.
I relish change and with more than 30 years’ experience across all sectors. I have developed a solid knowledge base that enables me to pinpoint clients’ needs and have extensive knowledge of many accounting software packages.
Outside of work, I love being outdoors with my family and dogs; and my passion is to show and judge retrievers being heavily involved as the Show Secretary for the Flatcoated Retriever Society.
Having grown up on a farm, I have a lot of agricultural knowledge which makes me ideally placed to understand the challenges faced by our farming clients. I love being able to support our clients to progress their business and assist when needed.
I have worked in accountancy for over 10 years and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2017. I took some time away from the office in 2021 for maternity leave and since returning have tried to fine-tune my juggling skills for work, family and farming.
Outside of work, I love getting involved on our farm in North Devon with my partner and spending time with our little boy.
I enjoy learning about the diverse businesses that are operated in Cornwall and the South West.
I previously ran a successful accounts practice for over 9 years as well as working for international and local businesses before joining ATC Advisors and look forward to bringing that knowledge and experience to our Bodmin clients.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and dogs, which are a great excuse to enjoy walks in our stunning countryside.
I have worked in Accounts and Business Tax for over 8 years and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2021. Over this period of time, I have developed a wide range of knowledge, specialising in Corporate accounts and Charities.
I am certified in various accounting software and enjoy being able to assist our clients with any issues they are having.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also like to use my skills outside of work, being treasurer for a local charity in Cornwall.
I love to help our clients in either completing their book-keeping and submitting the VAT for them or assisting them in setting up their own systems. With the introduction of Making Tax Digital this has been a huge change for all of us and I have enjoyed learning and adopting the new cloud software technologies having achieved certification in Xero.
I have had many years of book-keeping experience from the farming industries right through to a tattooist and love the variation in our clients.
When I’m not in the office I am a keen walker with my dog ‘Tilly’ and husband and if not out and about can be found toiling away in my garden.
